Job #: 130445 Date Posted: 04/25/2012 PLID: 4449 Currently we are seeking individuals for the following position: Oracle Database Administrator Oracle Database Administrator Job Responsibilities • Provide Oracle DBA support for support for enterprise and wholesale applications and initiatives. This would include: Designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data and high transaction rates. • Tasks also include capacity planning, security administration and user account maintenance. • Problem resolution and on-call support will be required as part of 24x7 database support. Oracle Database Administrator Skills Required to be considered: Required Skills • Oracle DBA with 6+ years of hands on experience working in large environments (installation, configuration, monitoring, import/export, standby setup, back-up & restore using RMAN & user management). • Working experience with performance tuning, using Oracle Enterprise Manager or any other types of tools, as well as be proficient at capacity monitoring & management capabilities. • Candidate must possess very good understanding of database architectural design, modeling and development methodology. • Mandatory Skills: Oracle/RAC DBA, Datagaurd, Replication/Shareplex/Streams, Unix/Linux scripting and basic administration. • Strong communication skills a must. • Problem resolution and on-call support will be required as part of 24x7 database support. Desired Skills • Outstanding oral and written communication skills. • Prior IT experience would be preferred.
